Nansana All Stars - The Rhinos

The club started in 1997 found in Wakiso ULF district at Nansana Yesu Amala where it is located even to date. The club started with thirty (30) members now currently the club has a membership capacity of one hundred (100) members.

The club started at the first Chairperson – the late Musisi Lawrence (R.I.P) with aims of building strength to be an outstanding ludo club, becoming competitive to all spheres from national to international levels, being the federation (ULF) global ambassadors (representatives) on the international scene and producing ludo players who are competent also professionals; the current club Chairperson is Mr. Mayanja Henry.

The club nicknamed as the rhinos since its birth has been an active participant in all undertakings or happenings of the Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) including the prominent super league. Nansana All-stars ludo club qualified and joined for the National Ludo Super League in 2006 among the pioneers of the national ludo super league since then it has never been relegated due to its commendable performances.

The club has an outstanding performance where for the past years has won the following titles: in 2005 won the matakira (coronation), in 2008 won Semei Kakungulu ludo cup, in 2010 and 2011 consecutively won the individual ludo championship then it won the national champion title for the super league in 2018.

The Most Vulnerable Player (MVP) of 2018 was Mrs. Nsereko Rose from Nansana All-stars club as well as its captain was crowned by the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) an award as the best ludo player. The club won the national women’s super league in 2018 just as its counterparts. In the years of 2008 and 2009 when the current ULF President Mr. Kalule Hussein was the club Chairperson, the club formed a football team as a means of boosting up the club also to broaden the financial base.

The motto stated as “Walking as shinning stars” with an aim of setting the pace of remaining competent in the ludo sport as the matter of fact the club has facilitated for the training of eight (8) referees as its core members. Nansana all stars ludo club is fully registered with Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) and affiliated to Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) eligible to participate in all their planned activities
