The Africa Ludo Cup of Nations (AL-CON), 2021 in South Africa, Johannesburg has been finalized on Saturday 4th December, 2021 with Uganda doves (Uganda national team) as champion (winner) the first time in Africa with 44 points and South Africa (the host) as runners’ up (2nd position) with 37 points. This has been the first ever tournament organized by Africa Ludo Federation (ALF).
Uganda doves (Uganda national team) in AL-CON, 2021 won gold medals and trophy with its team captain Mr. Matovu Huzaifa as the best player (Most Vulnerable Player-MVP) winning Uganda victory in the tournament.
The results of AL-CON, 2021 have been announced by Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) General Secretary - Mr. Matheta Joe as follows:
It has been officially closed by Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) President- Mr. Kalule Hussein and his counterpart Mr. Matheta Joe the General Secretary, ALF respectively in moments of joy and happiness. While closing the tournament the two (2) ALF officials have urged member states to always follow the program calendar of activities issued by ALF at annual basis.
The President in his closing remarks confirmed that, there shall be different tournaments organized by ALF especially in the individual championship also clubs championship in all playing versions with effect from next year, 2022. For purposes of keeping interest in this tournament, the President has comfirmed that AL-CON shall be conducted every after two (2) years meaning that next AL-CON shall be conducted in 2023.
The Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) General Secretary - Mr. Matheta Joe thanked all players and member states namely: Uganda, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Malawi and Mozambique for making the first ever AL-CON colorful and jolly.
