The event diced off from the 24th – 28th September in Pretoria South Africa.
This comes after defending champions Uganda failed to show up in South Africa to defend their title after government and the National Council of Sports failed to offer support to the Ludo National team, Uganda Doves.
Twenty five members out of the thirty six voted for the fine while ten members were in favour of Uganda to be disqualified from participating at the fourth coming 2022 World Ludo Championship (World Cup ) expected to dice off from 23rd to 29th November in Nepal.
The decision would see Uganda being replaced with Ivory Coast but this was not given a blessing.
The assembly also pleaded with the International Ludo Federation (ILF) through it’s vice President to offer ALF more two slots and supplement on the current two (2) for a desirable representation at the World Championship.
Uganda and South Africa will represent Africa at the forthcoming World Championship at the end of November 2022 in Nepal.
The assembly was attended by thirty six (36) African Ludo Leaders from their respective member states of (ALF) chaired by the President of the Africa Ludo Federation Mr Kalule Hussein and the proceedings were carefully recorded by Mr Matheta Joe, the Secretary of (ALF).
The other six participants who did not make it to be awarded medals included; Malawi, Zambia, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Mali and Zimbabwe.
South Africa dethroned Uganda but the latter still maintains her position on top of the log despite not participating.
