Uganda Doves storm World Cup semis

Despite the financial woes at home, hardships and late preparations of the Ludo National Team the “Uganda Doves” managed to put up a spirited show at Fortune hotel in Nepal.

The team arrived last in Nepal to dice off their group stages encounter but the managed to start with victory in what looked like a tricky group.

On board one, Uganda emerged victorious in a 3-1 score against Saudi Arabia in their opening fixture. On board two, Uganda was held to a 2-2 draw with Pakistan.

On board three, Uganda returned back to winning ways showing their master of class as they disciplined UAE 4-0 in their last group fixture in Group A.

The World Ludo individual championship 2022 took a new twist where countries faced each other in 3 rounds through their respective groups.

Africa’s finest Uganda who are also participating at the world Ludo individual championship have now reached the semi finals of this year’s edition.

On Tuesday 30th November, Uganda will face off with Bangladesh who topped group B with 7 points while best losers Pakistan will be locking horns with host Nepal.

The semi finals and the final will take place in Dubai.
