UGANDA : National Super League ,Players ,Coaches , Referees And Club Officials Given New Directives

On Saturday 2nd April 2023 ,the President of the Uganda Ludo Federation (ULF) Kalule Hussein convened a closed door meeting with ,Coaches ,Players , Referees, and Club officials a head of a looming National Super League Broadcast deal.

Over 200 people were in attendance at the Ludo Federation Headquarters at YMCA Wandegeya .

While speaking to the gathering, The ULF cruncked up his volume .

“Probably by the end of next week we shall have signed a MOU with a Television company that will broad cast our games, It’s a big step in the game of Ludo and it will generate revenue. But let’s show up for these televised games smartly dressed in our branded Jerseys so that we can reflect a good in the society, viewers and would be sponsors because initially most people think the game or Ludo is for “Bayaye” .”Said the ULF President.

He further added.

” Since the games are going to be televised, players and referees will not be allowed to have their phones with them in the course of the action since this is a mind game that needs alot of concentration any one who violates the rule will suffer the conquences”.

He also urged players to borrow a leaf of how professional football players arrive for match days and put it in practice as it will help in showing high levels of professionalism.

President Kalule Hussein also mention about the inugural edition of Ludo in schools (Secondary Schools) set to dice off in June 2023 with Universities, Corporates League and Corporate games slated for next year.

White and Red dices made out of ivory plus playing boards that were issued by the Federation will be used across all match days.

The four players who will be in action dicing will all be seated to enable proper coverage of the Camera’s on board.

Four Broadcast Camera’s will be used on a televised game with two facing the board, fans ,players and the substitutes bench.

Referees should arrive at the venue an hour before dice off .Any referee that will fail to adhere to the above will recieve a ban.

The National Ludo Super League will return with match day Three (3) on Thursday 6th April 2023

Last year the Uganda Ludo Federation was awarded by the National Council of Sports as the second best performing Federation after Stellar performances that climaxed with Uganda wining the Ludo World Cup in Nepal in November 2022.
