KALULE BOUNCED BACK AS 2021/25-ULF PRESIDENT.
The electoral Assembly scientifically sat Holy-Farm Hotel in Nansana, on the 24 day of July and through the majority vote confirmed Mr Kalule H and Mr Faisal Katumba as president and general secretary respectively.
According to the constitution of Uganda Ludo federation, the general secretary and the president are the only two elective post, while the rest are presidential appointments. Mr kalule H will have his third and last term of office end in 2024/25.
According to the electoral committee Secretary Mr. Zziwa Badru,
- By Wednesday 12th May, 2021 grass root club elections were conducted to find two (2) representatives to attend the Districts Elective Assembly (DEA) in order to elect the two (2) districts delegates.
- By Sunday 13th June, 2021 districts had elected two (2) delegates who attend the National Delegates Elective Assembly in order to elect the new top leadership (NEC) of ULF.
- On Tuesday 15th June the voters’’ register, comprising of elected delegates from districts, from the three (3) associations of interest groups for players, coaches and referees as well as the incumbents was displayed
Having paid a nonrefundable fee of Uganda shillings 250,000 and 500,000 for the
- secretary and president respectively, nominations electronically closed 12th July, 2021 with both candidates unopposed, though the constitution provides that in either way, the EC should ensure a 33% of the electoral support before official pronouncement. With the help of the federation emails the members cast their support to help the Electrola Commission confirm the candidates as official after obtaining over a third of the total expected votes
- At exactly 12:45 on 24th July the chairman electoral commission Mr Bisaso Charles, declared Mr. Kalule Hussein ULF President and Katumba Faisal Sendi as ULF National General Secretary elect for the sports years 2021 -2025
Mr. Kalule H who also doubles as the ALF President and Vice-President ILF, in his inaugural speech, thanked members for trusting him for another term in office, presented the Africa affiliation Certificate as a major milestone, pledged to do whatever it takes to have the national team take part/win the Africa Ludo event due this August in South Africa, expressed satisfaction from the outgoing NEC members but promised to reshuffle any member who will not perform to his expectation.
The team had a few new posts like the federation CEO entrusted with Mr Sebanenya George basing on his experience from ALF. However, he was reluctant to mention the personnel in charge of Media and corporate affairs. Mr. Mukasa Mike, Mr Luyombya Kisakye Samson, Mr. Ssebakka David, Mr. Kasujja Gerald, Miss Nabuuma Teddy, Mr. Matovu Huzaifa, And Mr. Kityo Hussein were the new inclusions on National Executive Cabinet –

The meeting was dissolved and adjourned to a later date before this year ends basing on the covid-19 lockdowns for an official swear-in, hover handover for the secretary and president was officially done.
