South Africa has been named as the host for the 2023 Africa Ludo Cup of Nations(AL-CON), beating off a bid from Ivory coast.
Both Ivory Coast and South Africa submitted their bids in 2022 to Africa Ludo Federation (ALF) to host 2023 AL-CON tournament.
It will be the second time that South Africa has staged the finals after they were the hosts of the inaugural edition 2021.
The tournament will be held from 27th to 30th September 2023 at the Ikageng Community Centre in Tshwane ,Gauteng
All member nations are expected to compete in two disciplines and these are the categories , Men (Singles & Doubles) and Women (Singles & Doubles.
Twenty four (24) countries are affiliated to the Africa Ludo Federation ,ten (10) countries have so far been confirmed to play at the second edition.
Uganda are the defending Champions having won the 2021 edition ,they are currently ranked number one in Africa and in the whole World after wining the World Ludo Championship (World Cup) in 2022.
