Ten Teams Confirmed as the 2024 National Ludo Super League nears Dice off

This was during a closed door meeting that was chaired by Miss Nabbuma Teddy Chairperson Super League organizing committee today, Thursday 22^nd, February 2024 at the Uganda Ludo Federation ULF head office in Nansana.

After careful deliberation and scrutiny, the organizing committee finalized the list of participating teams, with ten esteemed clubs making the cut. Among the confirmed teams are the 2023 champions Nakawa Market , Najjemba, Masaka Giants, Gulu City, and Buyende United, Nansana All Star, Buloba A, Bulemeezi, Ntinda United, and Kazo Hill Ludo Club.

However, not all clubs were fortunate enough to secure a spot in this year’s league. The committee announced that five teams failed to meet the necessary requirements by the February 11th deadline. Consequently, Basajja Bayiiya Ludo Club Kubbiri, Metal Ludo Club, Good Life Ludo Club, and Kizito Market Ludo Club faced relegation to League One as a disciplinary measure.

Speaking to the ULF media, Mrs. Nabuuma Teddy, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of adherence to deadlines and regulations, underscoring the integrity and fairness of the selection process. She assured that the non-compliant clubs would be referred to the disciplinary committee for further action in accordance with league protocols.

According to league rules, the National Ludo Super League must feature between eight and sixteen clubs to ensure competitive balance and logistical feasibility. With ten confirmed teams, the stage is set for an exhilarating season filled with strategic maneuvers, intense rivalries, and memorable moments on the Ludo board.

The league is scheduled to commence on Sunday, March 10th, 2024, the ten participating teams are urged to make final preparations and undergo rigorous training to showcase their skills and prowess on the national stage.
