UGANDAN TEAMS TO DICE-OFF IN THE ALCC-21

The first ever Africa ludo club championship diced off at Delmundo Hotel in Dubai on Saturday 22 may 2021 afternoon, with clubs from Cameroon, Malawi, Burkina Faso, and South Africa. The Africa ludo federation went against all odds to have this championship held in the middle of this covid world where no African countries, among the member nations, even though south Africa had made several attempts since 2019, was willing to comfortably host the tournament yet UAE was yet another cheaper option.

Uganda’s only two representatives, Nasana Galaxy and Buloba LC. made a total of ten members with the former only caring the minimum two while the later registered eight wnd one official. Nagadya Betty and Emmanuel Mubiru of Nansana Galaxy and Musa Mukiib, Peter Ilaborot, Abdul Ssenkumba, Bashir Kyambadde, Godfrey Bale, Fred Kikomekko, James Mugerwa and Mike Benon Sembusi, of Buloba Ludo club are the players to hold the Ugandan flag. Club Yenenga from Burkina Faso registered, Ousein Idrisa, Inousa Rogers, Alassane David & Issaka Salif.

The panicky squad from South Africa has Melokuhe Johnson, Joe Matheta, Sepedi baker,  and Makena John. Nigerian players on board include, Ibilola Eliot, Adeyinka juma, Olawumi James , Oladotun Phillips and Ibidapo paul. The Cameroon’s Lion indomitable-Squad Ludo club registered, Parla Andrew, ima Jackson & Giscle Richard on board 2.

By the end of day one Cameroon’s Lion indomtable & Malawi’s Lilongwe cobra had qualified to semifinals to be played on Sunday.

Lilongwe cobra Malawi beat the ludo club Yenenga of Burkina Faso 2-1, while Lion Indomtable du Cameron beat the Panicky team from South African 3-0.

On May 23, 2021 Ugandan teams, Nansana and Buloba, who arrived on Wednesday and Friday respectively, will dice off with former meeting kaduna state of Nigeria on board one while later will meet Gidalvs of Nigeria on board two. Basing on the results above the first and second semifinals will be played later in the afternoon to conclude the day with the finals.
